Welland Canal Dog Walk
The Welland Canal parkway is an excellent place for walking your dog in St. Catharines. We take our pups there all the time and we take several of our dog walking clients there too.
If you are looking for a great place for St Catharines Dog Walking, this should be a place to consider. There are many convenient places to park your car along the canal, especially in St. Catharines and Thorold. So if you're bored of walking your dog, try taking them to the canal pathway for a change of pace. Sometimes a change of scenery helps alot (Or call All Niagara Pet Sitting to be your dog walker!)
We tend to walk our dogs in the Lock 1, 2, or 3 areas as that is most convenient for us. Lock One is located in the Port Weller area in the North end at Niagara Street and Bunting Road. Lock Two is at Carlton Street and Lock three is between Queenston and Glendale Avenue on the Canal Parkway. If you're not sure where to try, try starting from different spots each time you visit.
Purina Walk for Dog Guides in St. Catharines
Lock Three of the Welland Canal was also the location for the 2011 Purina Walk for Dog Guides in St Catharines. We participated in this event on May 29 along with a couple dozen
other supporters. Over $5000 was raised locally and was part of a national effort of dog walks across Canada. It's a great cause and we love taking part.
This is a picture from the walk which started from Lock three and went part way towards lock two:
